D-2 of taking pictures.

I didn’t really get to take better pictures than yesterday. What I really realized by today’s experience was that the picture is mostly about controlling the lights like someone said. It was a pretty gloomy day, and I saw the obvious difference between these two pictures.

<FUJIFILM X-H1, ISO 200, F 4.0, SS 1/110s>
<Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark ll, ISO 125, F 2.5, SS 1/250s>

The picture at the top is the one I took today, and below, it’s taken yesterday. I couldn’t find enough light that I can use to describe the picture today, so I mainly focused on the color of the leaves when both taking pictures and getting it ready in the Light Room. In the picture below, I used the contrast of the light and the dark to make the picture look like it has some story in it.

Then, is it bad if there is no light when taking pictures? I don’t think so. I just think that I didn’t really have a good skill in taking pictures. Also, the lens I used for today was 35 mm, which was definitely harder than the last one. Not using light in the pictures may be one of the skills I need to learn for myself, I guess.

Everyone has their own style when taking pictures, and that’s what I love about photography. For math and science, there are only two answers; right or wrong. That’s one of the most attractive parts of these two subjects I agree. But sometimes I think we need to show who we’re instead of getting compliments for the only answer. There is no right or wrong in pictures. Even if you got the focus at the background by purpose when you’re taking a family picture, it’s not wrong (though your family can get MAD). It is respected as your own style.

For me, I don’t know about my style when taking pictures yet, but I do like pictures with one color emphasis.

Like this. You can see in this picture, I darkened the green leaves and brightened the flower to show the lead attention to the flower. I hope that I’ll get to take street pictures that have strong colors with a plain background. I enjoy looking at those kinds of pictures. Watching pictures helps us to take a better picture for ourselves.

Later on, I’m wishing that I can get to enjoy taking pictures of nature, but since I’m not good at it, I’ll wait until I get to do photography better:).
