Democracy and communism was a great issue for a long time. After the wars, Republic of Korea is now democratic state, and I also agree to the idea about democracy in our country. But I think if the society is small, communism will be better than democracy.

Citizens have a great influence on the government in democracy, and they vote for the president of their country. In my opinion, that’s where the problem comes. Voting is majority, which means the idea is accepted if many people agree to it. People who are not included in the group of majority who vote for their opinion will get ignored. In a big society, we can’t listen to everyone’s opinion; it’s too complicated and is impossible. In small society, everyone should cooperate with each other, and all of them are in a strong relationship. Also, compared to big society, gathering the opinions is much easier in small society. It means that minority also have a big influence to others, and by that reason, I think small society will have to listen to other’s opinion well.

Democracy had property ownership. Everyone has one’s own asset that no one can use without permission of the owner. Communism is different. Instead of property ownership, it has common property. Common property means the property people had earned and made is everyone’s, and they divide the property equally. This is where the word Utopia follows with communism. Utopia is where everyone lives happily. Theoretically, dividing the property equally means everyone is satisfied with it. But humans are different from the theory. They want more. Utopia is I think, impossible in anyways.

My opinion is that in a big society, democracy is helpful, but if the society is small, communism is needed because of the way it votes and how they divide their properties. Small society of people will need to divide the work and do it hard, unless they’ll be able to live properly. Utopia coming from communism cannot happen because of people’s greed.
